Troop 664 North Olmsted OH

Summer Camp 2015

Summer Camp 2015 will be at Woodland Trails Scout Reservation

Woodland Trails is located in Camden, Ohio, which is about 4 hours from North Olmsted (1 hour west of Dayton).

Dates:  Sunday, June 21 – Saturday, June 27

Camp Map  We are scheduled to be in the Barringer Ridge campsite.

Summer Camp will be here before you know it.

ANNUAL HEALTH FORM

An up to date Health & Medical Form must be filled out for each camper. BSA health forms are valid for one year, so chances are you will need an updated version prior to Summer Camp. It’s not too early to schedule a physical with your doctor. Please don’t wait until the last minute! You can download a health form on the Forms Page on the troop website.

COTS

This camp does not provide cots, unlike other camps we’ve stayed at in the past. Woodland Trails supplies a wooden platform and a canvas wall tent, but everyone will be required to bring their own cot for the week.

SWIM TEST

UPDATE:  The swim test will be taken at Woodland Trails upon arrival.  We were unable to schedule a pre-camp test.

Woodland Trails will allow us to complete the swim test in advance of arriving at camp. Details will follow at a later date, but in all likelihood the swim test will be administered in North Olmsted at either the Rec Center or a development pool. This will allow campers to participate in aquatic programs right away instead of waiting to pass a swim test at camp.

PREREQUISITES

Woodland Trails has an excellent listing of all the programs being offered during our week at this link: http://www.miamivalleybsa.org/Event.aspx?id=1723. Please click on the Activities tab, then click View Activity Details for any merit badge you are taking. The prerequisites are listed there. Don’t be disappointed or turned away because you haven’t completed your prerequisites.

WAIVERS

If you are taking the Horsemanship or ATV programs you and your parent/guardian will need to sign a waiver.  See the Forms page on the website to download them.
