The Scout offices downtown are unable to accommodate us on the original date we signed up for, so summer camp will NOT be on the previously scheduled date for the last week of June. It will move to the week of July 4th.
Camp will be July 2 – July 8, 2017.
Depending on your viewpoint this is either a good thing or a bad thing, but as they say, “it is what it is.”
This was an administrative mistake on the part of GCC, but there are no camping slots remaining that would work for us. As a gesture of goodwill the GCC is discounting Scouts $10, so the cost of summer camp will be $290 per Scout instead of $300. They have also refunded our initial deposit, so we will use those funds to cover other expenses the troop would otherwise incur.
We apologize for all the confusion, but at least you can plan the rest of your summer.
