Troop 664 North Olmsted OH

Mansfield Haunted Campout

The United States prison system is in disarray…The worst inmates all over the United States have escaped their respective institutions looking for a new place to call home. After numerous murder sprees and in some cases “Clown Sightings” across the nation, these psychopaths have found the destination they were looking for in Mansfield Ohio…

Okay, are you scared yet?

Troop 664 is planning a campout for Saturday, October 21 (one night), returning Sunday, October 22nd near Mansfield. The one-night timeframe will allow NOHS Marching Band members to camp. As part of the campout we will attend “Escape From Blood Prison,” the haunted house experience at the old Mansfield Reformatory (where parts of ‘Shawshank Redemption’ was filmed).

This is a ‘save the date’ reminder. There are some details to be worked out, including the exact cost. Please stay tuned for more information.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

The ‘escape’ experience is intense and the organizers enforce a minimum age limit.

From their website:

The age requirement to enter the haunt is 13 years of age and older with adult supervision. If your child appears to be younger than 13, please be prepared to show proof of age with a birth certificate or student ID. The Ohio State Reformatory has the right to refuse entrance to anyone, for any reason.

If your young Scout (under 13) wants to camp (but cannot attend the haunted house), let us know so we can arrange for adult leadership to remain at the campsite.
