I have more details on what the Sunday “Earth Fair” event at the park will entail for T664 Scouts.
Since it’s Earth Day, the event organizers are placing recycle containers around the park. The containers will be set up prior to the event–we are not assembling them up or placing them in the park. The Scouts will be responsible for monitoring the containers, replacing the bags when they’re full, and taking the full bags to a collection point. There will not be directing of cars in parking lots or similar, so this event is appropriate for younger Scouts.
The event itself begins at 1:00 PM, but it is unlikely that the recycle containers will instantly be full, so we are pushing back the start time for Scouts to 2:00 PM. We will still meet at the Community Cabin.
Ending time for Earth Fair is 4:00 PM, but if any Scouts (or parents) would be willing to stay a bit after and help with tear down (collapsing tables, putting away chairs, etc.) the Arts Commission would appreciate it.
