Luke Mortensen’s Eagle Project

A message from Luke:

My Project will be at Frostville Historical Museum in the Metroparks constructing a sandstone path to the Brigg’s house there. I will also be “refurbishing” a sandstone path that connects the gravel road to the handicap ramp of the chapel.

This will consist of digging out the area to place gravel beneath the stones and finding the stones that fit together well. Then they will be leveled with a small gradient so water runs off and finally sealed with polymeric dust.

Scouts will need to bring work gloves, sturdy shoes, dress appropriately for the weather with working with stones in mind. If you have a wheelbarrow that can be used to move gravel, it would be helpful if you could bring it. Also, bring a gravel shovel or gravel rake if you have them.

The dates that I have tentatively set are:

  • Friday, October 12th from 8:00-12:00
  • Saturday, October 13th from 2:30-6:00
  • Sunday, October 14th from 12:00-4:00

Please respond if you are able to help out, or have questions to mhluke13@sbcglobal.net

Thanks,

Luke Mortensen
